This interlock option requires two terminals on the rear panel of the tester to be connected together
(<3 ohms) for testing. If the circuit is broken, the primary side of the high voltage power supply is deenergized. Logic, lights and buttons on the front panel still function. The front panel meter will still indicate the actual voltage in the high voltage circuit if the XIV interlock is activated.
