HT1000AC-300mA
Our HT1000AC-300mA is an AC only tester, with the ability to deliver up to 300mA to the EUT. Leakage current limits can be set with the front panel knob from 15mA to 300mA. Normal operation stops testing when a leakage current greater than the set amount or when a dielectric breakdown is encountered. If desired, testing can be set to continue to burn problem areas. Testing will continue until the design current limit of the tester is exceeded; at which time the output voltage will return to zero.
Provided with test leads terminated in alligator clips and a calibration certificate; one year warranty on parts and labor.

HT1000DC
Our HT1000DC is a DC only tester, with the ability to deliver up to 5mA to the EUT. Leakage current limits can be set with the rear panel knob from 0.25mA to 5mA. The tester stops testing when a leakage current greater than the set amount or when a dielectric breakdown is encountered. When testing stops due to a failure, the output voltage returns to zero and a buzzer sounds.
This tester allows the voltage to be set from the front panel, but does not offer a ground continuity check function, and does not have a NEMA 15-R receptacle on the front panel.

Our HT1000DC-50mA is a DC only tester, with the ability to deliver up to 50mA to the EUT. Leakage current limits can be set with the front panel knob from 2.5mA to 50mA. Normal operation stops testing when a leakage current greater than the set amount or when a dielectric breakdown is encountered. If desired, testing can be set to continue to burn problem areas. Testing will continue until the design current limit of the tester is exceeded; at which time the output voltage will return to zero.
Regarding the ripple current in DC hipot testers, lower ripple requires larger filter capacitors, which store more power that is normally used to smooth the rectified waveform. In the case of a hipot tester, this stored power has the side effect of discharging into the EUT in the event of a failure. In order to keep the power that must be absorbed by the EUT within reasonable limits, we have struck a balance between lower ripple and excessive power. If your requirements dictate lower ripple, please let us know and we can quote accordingly. As a final note, we can build the tester to use 3 phase power to improve ripple and not increase the size of the filter capacitors.
