Continuing the Compliance West USA notion that smaller and cheaper is better if the job gets done, we continue our line of surge testers by providing a surge tester for spacings per Paragraph 14 of EN60335 and optionally the 1.2x50 tests in EN 60950, Annex N. The tester is available with maximum voltages of 7200V and 12kV.
MegaPulse 1.2x50-7200 Surge Tester
Built with this test in mind. Built in a 17" by 6U enclosure, it can provide outputs up to 7200v with a virtual impedance of 12 ohm, and is provided with our fast charge power supply to allow repetitive pulses within 2 sec. The waveform generated is in accordance with IEC 61180. A front panel switch is used to safely reverse polarity. For automated pulse train testing, use our MegaPulse TestMinder option, which controls from a PC.
Options include relay outputs for PLC control, a 1000:1 oscilloscope output BNC jack for monitoring voltage, a current shunt output BNC jack, and MegaPulse TestMinder.

MegaPulse 1.2x50-12kV Surge Tester
Same as the tester above, except with a 12kV output to perform all tests noted in EN 60335, Paragraph 14. The virtual impedance is 12 ohm, in accordance with the Standard, and the tester will charge within 3 seconds in accordance with the fastest repetition rate allowed by the Standard. For automated pulse train testing, use our MegaPulse TestMinder option, which allows automated pulsetrain testing controlled from a PC.
Ships in a 17" by 36" enclosure.
